The temple is actually used for ceremonial
offerings to the goddess Dewi Danu, the goddess of water, lakes and rivers.
Lake Bratan is one of the important lakes in terms of irrigation. The complex was built in 1633 spread over

as Pura Ulun Danu Beratan.
In
the Babad Mengwi Papyrus was also told that the establishment of the temple is
done sometime before the year 1556 Saka or 1634 AD, or about one year before
the founding of Taman Ayun Temple, a temple Another established by I Gusti
Agung Putu. Ulun Danu Beratan establishment is said to have made famous Mengwi
kingdom and its king, so I Gusti Agung Putu dubbed "I Gusti Agung
Way" by his people.
Inside

terraced roof, the roof towers with 11 levels, 7 levels and 3 levels. The
